Privacy statement for applicants

This notice applies to everyone who applies for a job at Digitaste BV, registered office at Ameiveld 7, 9400 Ninove, Belgium, company number BE 1015.160.923. Digitaste is the controller of your data.

What data we process

• What you fill in yourself: first name, last name, email address, phone number, your LinkedIn profile, your motivation and your availability.
• Your CV and any other documents you send.
• Notes and assessments from the people at Digitaste who review your application.
• How you found us, for example through a job site or LinkedIn.

We don't ask for a photo, date of birth, nationality or other sensitive data. Please leave them out of your CV.

Why

We use your data to assess your application, contact you and prepare a possible hire. We do this because you ask us to by applying (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use no software that automatically assesses or ranks applications: a person reviews every application.

Who sees your data

Only the managing directors and the colleagues involved in the hiring. Your data is stored in our own management system. We don't sell it or pass it on to third parties, except to the service providers that host our system.

How long we keep it

• If you're not hired, we automatically delete your data 6 months after the end of the procedure.
• If you agreed that we keep your data for other jobs, we keep it for up to 2 years after our last contact. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
• If you're hired, your data moves to your personnel file.

Your rights

You can always view, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your application. Email info@digitaste.be to do so. We reply without delay and within one month at the latest.

If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
